Slow Cooker Meals save time and effort. You just add the ingredients then set the slow cooker to high or low cooking and the machine does the rest. Great for any time of year.
When I was just starting to cook they were called crock pots in the 1980s and meals would be mush because they were left on for too long.
Today the times are not as long so there is tasty delicious meals at the end of the day when you don’t want to slave over a stove. I used mine a lot in summer as well as winter as it was too hot to cook but wanted a hot meal.
Here is my Slow Cooked Pulled Pork Recipe.
Ingredients Serves 4
500g Pork Shoulder boneless
1 Bottle BBQ Hickory Sauce (Options: Teriyaki sauce, Korean Marinade)
6 Button Mushrooms
Served with Sweet Potato Wedges & Broccolini
Method Slow Cooker Pulled Pork:
Place all ingredients into slow cooker
Put lid on and cook on low for 6 hours, or high for 3 hours.
Sweet Potato Wedges
1/2 sweet potato per person
Pinch of sea-salt
Slice Sweet Potato and sprinkle with sea salt
Place on baking tray with cooking spray and
cook in 180*C Oven for 20 minutes
Turn and cook further 5-10 minutes if not cooked through.
1-2 Heads Broccolini per person
Place Broccolini in microwave steamer and cook for 3 minutes on high.
